You may have seen these two words in third-world shops or on the labels of some coffee and tea products. Fair Trade is based on the idea of paying the workers in the manufacturing countries a fair wage and helping them to achieve a better living standard. Apart from fair and appropriate payment for their work, efforts are made to achieve an ecologically sensible production (better use of raw materials and other resources, recycling of waste) and social projects (looking after the children, promoting the school system).  We have established long-term relationships with our trading partners which meet the demands of fair trade. The aim is to avoid short-term marketing success and concentrate on products which guarantee our partners in the manufacturing countries work and income over a long period of time. All of the Mexican ceramic products and tiles in our web shop are manufactured to fair trade principles.
